Mornings are tough, especially when you've been up tossing and turning until 3am. I love waking up early, but my slight bout with insomnia makes this feat nearly impossible. To help myself find motivation to get the day started, I like to enlist the help of some "morning favorites".
moisture
When I go to bed in the evening, I apply Glossier's Balm Dotcom on my lips for a moisture-packed overnight treatment. By the time I wake up, there is only a small remnant of balm left on my lips. I like to refresh this each morning to wear while I'm going about my routine. It works wonders for my lips!
coffee
As soon as my head lifts up off the pillow I'm on a hunt for coffee, a true morning must-have for me. Each morning, depending on my schedule, my coffee choice is different. Sometimes I'll make my coffee from home, but most mornings I'll head over to Starbucks for a caramel macchiato or Dunkin' Donuts for their dark roast.
workout
This morning must-have actually surprises me. If you had asked me a few months ago if this was a must for me, I would have laughed in your face. Now, after spending the last couple of months really putting in the effort to exercise every weekday, I realize how great I feel because of it. Although some days can be tougher to get started than others, I find that when I put in the time to work out, I not only feel better mentally but feel better about the way I look and feel physically.
shower
My favorite part of the morning is showering after my workout. This morning must-have is LUSH's Rose Jam shower gel. I think it's important to find a scent that you are crazy about, because smelling things you like can help wake you up from a fog and get your day moving!
